The Trust weclomes school and student group visits to the house by prior arrangement. Study material relevant to the National Curriculum is available if required, and the house and gardens are suitable for a variety of creative and educational purposes. For enquiries about school visits and other educational activities, please phone or email us.

One of the most popular special tours that we offer is a candlelit tour of the house, followed by drinks and a buffet supper if required. These normally take place during the autumn, up until mid-December.Southside is also suitable for private dinners and celebrations, as well as corporate awaydays, book launches and workshops. There is a fully equipped kitchen, and the Dining Room seats up to 20 people, with the possibility of an overspill of guests being accommodated in the adjacent Garden Room. Guests normally have the use of the whole of the ground floor, which includes the Breakfast Room, Entrance Hall and Music Room, and in fine weather, the South Lawn and terrace can be accessed from the Music Room.
